University statement on confirmed measles case in Boulder
On June 13, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) reportedÌý. Through contact tracing, public health officials have excluded the Â鶹Դ´ campus from the list of confirmed exposure locations.
Because measles is highly contagious, the university encourages the campus community to remain vigilant about the disease. Â鶹Դ´ is working with its partners in the city and county of Boulder and CDPHE to monitor and respond to any potential future impacts to campus.
Â鶹Դ´â€™s Health and Wellness Services has been working since early spring to educate the campus community andÌýraise awareness about the risks of measles, how to prevent it, and what to do if a student or employee suspects they may have been exposed to the measles virus. Those efforts are ongoing and will continue into the next academic year.
Members of the campus community who have questions about the measles virus are encouraged to contactÌýMedical Services.
